I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing

A HUGE thank you goes to Joanna Senter and Nick, who wrote the script, did staging, wrangled the kids, and so much more. Celise Kalke also was on the 10YoT team, as well as Cameron Carter, Rena Diamond, and Karen Bond, Isabel S. for heading up the bake sale, and Erica Lancaster for flower sales!  We've never done a big show like this before, and Joanna and Celise were able to convince me that #1 we'd have folks who would help and #2 it would be special. I'm so grateful!

Also gratitude goes to Tom Willner, who accompanied for us when SPARK opened, and he was gracious enough to come back for more 10 years later. Jenna Mobley, who jumps at the chance to see our SPARKies and play music with and for them. Jon Marvel (Mary Lin, but soon to Tacoma), Colleen Kingston (Hope-Hill), Kevin Hill (Grady--he did SO MUCH for us for this show!), Liz Hill (Inman's Chorus teacher and married to Kevin, who let me know a show at Grady was even possible), Dr. Betsy Bockman for approving our use of the Grady Auditorium.

Finally, huge gratitude to our favorite composer and bass player, Michael Kurth. He is generous with time and talent, including writing music for our young musicians just for fun, plus he comes to hear them sing and play. And he makes dorky videos for us with our ASO friends.

If you want to hear more from Michael, check out the incredible recording the ASO recorded last year (I was lucky enough to sing in the Chamber Chorus for the Miserere).

Can you imagine knowing a composer and symphony musician at your child's age?

Everything Lasts Forever available at Amazon, Apple Music, and most places folks buy music.

The other Kurth CD we listen to every Friday.
