"If arts have a place in society, they must be a part of a community. To be an artist is not the privilege of a few, but the necessity of us all." –Robert Lawson Shaw

Here's some of what I did this summer: Sang Mahler 3 for Robert Spano's final concert and the Final Fantasy concerts with the ASO, saw the Chrisitan Siriano exhibit at SCADFash, went to the Cyclorama (with my friend Ms. Kingston from Hope Hill), saw Fannie (about Civil Rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer) at True Colors theatre, travelled to Colorado for Little Kids Rock Modern Band Summit (I got to sing Roam by the B-52s with friends from all over the US AND I got to play drums in a session with Sheila E.), then we travelled to Nebraska (Carhenge!, Chimney Rock), South Dakota (Crazy Horse Memorial and Mount Rushmore and the Mammoth Site), and Wyoming (Devil's Tower), then back to Colorado to tour in Rocky Mountain National Park. Phew!
Roam and Cleveland Rocks with The Beast from the East (teachers from the East of the Mississippi). Yes, that's me in the wig.
